Author's note

Eclipse font by Kevin Christopher is a free decorative display typeface that plays with absence as much as presence. Bold, squared brackets frame each letter while a slimmer, ghosted form slips just inside, like a shadow stepping out of line. The result feels sharp and architectural yet slightly disorienting, as if the text is mid-glitch or caught between dimensions-great when you want type that people actually stop to look at.

Using Eclipse, you can give posters, album covers, experimental branding, event titles, editorial spreads, and sci-fi interfaces a distinct, cinematic edge. The strong outer strokes hold up at larger sizes, so this free font really shines in big headlines and short wordmarks. Pair it with a clean geometric sans in smaller text to keep layouts readable while Eclipse handles the drama.
