Author's note

Cholo font by Apostrophic Lab is a free handwritten typeface that channels raw marker-on-wall energy. Its tall, boxed letters wobble just enough to feel human, with inky, uneven strokes that look like they were pulled quickly across a concrete surface. The spacing is loose and airy, giving words a casual swagger that still reads clearly at a glance.

Using Cholo, bold titles feel like street tags frozen mid-motion, so it shines on zines, gig posters, skate or streetwear branding, stickers, video titles, and punchy social posts. This free font works best big and unapologetic; pair it with a clean, neutral sans serif for body copy to let its rough-edged character really stand out.
