Author's note

Celtic Frames font by Typographer Mediengestaltung is a free ornamental dingbats font with the feel of carved stone and inky knotwork. Its corners and border pieces weave together in thick, looping bands, adding a sense of ritual, folklore, and hand-crafted detail without forcing you to build a decorative frame from scratch.

Using Celtic Frames works beautifully for wedding invitations, pub menus, book covers, festival posters, genealogy projects, certificates, and fantasy packaging. Keep Celtic Frames fairly large so the interlaced detail can breathe, and pair this free font with a restrained serif or uncial text face to let the ornament stay crisp rather than crowded.
